We are a Christian based biblical theatre company with one purpose and goal in mind to use their talents, to perform home grown biblical musicals, to glorify God, and to present the Gospel to people of all ages.
Our Purpose
"Pure Heartbeat Music Ministries" purpose is to glorify God and allow people to use their gifts that God has given them, to present high-quality musical Biblical theater with a spiritually uplifting, redemptive, salvation message with Gospel themes to people of all ages. The Gospel is still relevant to this generation today as it was in the past, and "Pure Heartbeat Music Ministries" is dedicated to the task of presenting the message of salvation.
Our Aim and Objectives
Our Aim and Objectives are to perform the Word by using people's abilities and talents to present the gospel in our local area, New Zealand and by our motto says. Spreading the Gospel by performing His Word
Our Vision
Our vision is very simple, to see peoples lives touched and others saved to come into God's Kingdom. Our vision also is to make a meaningful connection with the hearts and minds of our audiences that they might know the Life-transforming change in knowing Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and to give them a everlasting blessing through Biblical theater. Just as Christ makes a dramatic difference in the life of the believer, so drama may be used to demonstrate that difference to an unbelieving world!
Our Productions
In most of our musical productions we use music, drama, dance and visual presentations.
Esther - A new Musical was our first major production here in New Zealand,
'Esther - The Musical' (perfomed in Jerusalem Israel) in 3 different forms of the scripts and different songs
N.B Peter and another close friend Rosalind Hershkovitz (Jerusalem, Israel) ) re wrote it in three different forms for a Israeli, Muslim, and secular Jewish audience. Peter traveled to Israel to direct a cast of 26 from 13 different Nations where they performed four shows to a very enthusiastic audience in time for the Feast of Purim which is the celebration that is celebrated still in Israel today.
Arise My Love
The biggest success was in 1998 when Peter with the help of Rosalind started to write a new musical Arise my Love (based on the book of Ruth) while being in Israel. Some of the music was written in Israel, while Peter was there. Other songs were written and recorded and put on backing track in San Carlos, USA with the help of another friend and writer of some of the music Michelle Gates. Followed with the remainder being written here in New Zealand by Peter.
We Like Sheep
Peter's next challenge in 1999 was to produce and adapted a children's musical We Like Sheep written originally by Kathie Hill. Peter worked with children from the ages of four through to thirteen years. The lead role of the shepherd was characterized by Craig Bottin who debut as Boaz in Arise my Love. The musical was very warmly received.
The Prisoners
The Prisoners our fifth musical was produced and performed in May 2000 by a talent cast of 45, musicians 5 and a crew of 11 in addition to our production team.
Mr Noah
Shortly after The Prisoners was over Peter went straight into directing another children's musical called 'Mr Noah' It was adapted by a friend Lynette Spencer who is also involved with Peter's ministry. Peter worked with 24 children from the ages of 3 - 14.
In the Shadow of Messiah
A musical based on the life of David from shepherd boy to king. We had a last cast and crew. It was well received and so many were blessed including the cast
Joshua - A Song of Deliverance
This is our new project which we are working on this year to be produced and performed 2009
"This musical Joshua – ‘A Song of Deliverance’ featuring the story of God’s people crossing the Jordan into the Promised Land, the meeting with Rahab and the victory of the city of Jericho has been adapted and written by Peter Day, with additional music written with special permission by some wonderful artists and friends in New Zealand, United States, Britain and Israel. We would like to thank personally everyone who contributed in any way to help put the music together. To everyone concerned our sincere thanks. "
eleventh hour
Our gospel group eleventh hour is just the icing on the cake. Some wonderful talent people involved here as well. We have a Cd that has been recored but is currently held up in production for various of reasons so we would ask for all your prayers on this particular issue as well.
This year 2008 we are looking for people to join eleventh hour both musicians and vocalist male and female

Over the years we as a ministry have used the lonely and the unwanted and the rejected in the church to fill the roles of our musicals and our gospel group and wow don't they shine now. There are so many wonderful testimonies of God's wonderful love even from so many of our talented cast in previous musicals and how much it has changed peoples lives being involved in something very unique and special.....so if this sounds like you...then please feel free to contact us.
